Ingot — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
Ingot (“the app”) is a mobile game published by Colwell Ventures LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles and why. It is written to be read, not to be impressive.
Information the app stores on your device
The app saves a small amount of information locally, on your device only, so the game remembers how you have done. This never leaves your device, is not visible to us, and is not transmitted anywhere. It is:
- your best score;
- your most recent score.
That is the entire list. Uninstalling the app deletes it. You can also clear it at any time through your device's app storage settings.
Information we collect
None. We do not collect names, email addresses, contacts, photos, files, or location. We operate no servers that receive data from the app. The app requests internet access, which is used only to load advertisements, and vibration, which is used only for the small taps you feel when placing a piece.
Advertising
The app displays advertisements through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process information such as:
- your device's advertising identifier;
- device and general technical information, such as device model, operating system version, and language;
- approximate, non precise location derived from your IP address;
- information about ad interactions, such as whether an ad was shown, viewed, or tapped.
This processing is carried out by Google, not by us. We receive only aggregate, anonymous performance and earnings reports; we never receive information that identifies you individually.
Google's handling of this data is governed by its own policies: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Rewarded advertisements
The app offers an optional rewarded advertisement: you may choose to watch a video ad in exchange for gold to spend in the game. This is entirely voluntary. Declining it does not restrict any part of the game, and the same data handling described above applies if you choose to watch one.
Consent, if you are in Europe
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app asks for your choices about advertising before any ad is requested. It does this through Google's User Messaging Platform, a consent management platform certified for this purpose.
Your choices are recorded on your device and passed to Google's advertising services. If you decline, the app requests no advertisement at all rather than serving a different one. You can change your answer at any time by clearing the app's storage in your device settings, which causes the app to ask again the next time it opens.
Your choices
- Reset or delete your advertising ID. On Android, open Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can reset the identifier or delete it entirely.
- Opt out of personalised ads. The same settings screen lets you turn off ad personalisation. You will still see advertisements, but they will not be personalised.
- Remove local data. Uninstall the app, or clear its storage in your device settings.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
Data retention
Because we do not collect personal information, we have nothing to retain or delete on your behalf. Information held on your device stays there until you remove it. Advertising data is retained by Google under its own retention policies.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with an updated date above. Material changes affecting how information is handled will be reflected here before they take effect.
